Just an FYI that we've also started to add historical georeferenced maps from the NY Public Library -- and one of the first is the Viele map (plus the Montressor and Poppleton maps of lower Manhattan).<br /><br />Unfortunately the registration of the Viele map seems to be off -- it doesn't account for breaks in the map sheets -- see this view on OASIS as an example: http://bit.ly/cY5JGZ<br /><br />Nonetheless, hopefully this may help in your research.
